Why can I not hit a thing with my axe!

I just picked up the hand to hand skill and I took it out for a spin this morning and using my axe, I couldn't hit the lone zombie I was trying to maul.

I used up 10AP with no success so I moved on to the next stop. Any suggestions for better results?

its just the RNG (random number generator), its 40% to hit with on every attempt so thats 60% to miss with on every attempt
just bad RNG!

Yeah, get all the firearms skills, a few shotguns and a big bag o' pistols.

Seriously, MO is right, it's just lousy statistics. Just keep swinging that axe and you'll get a few hits in. There are times when I can't seem to hit the broad side of a barn in daylight, and other times where I actually managed to get seven or eight his in a row with melee weapons.

Yeah, the UD RNG is pretty dodgy-ask my zombie who didn't get a hit in after 25AP (and that was with 50% accuracy .)

Meh. I usually carry an axe, because I'm not a fighter (targets of opportunity only) and can't be bothered carrying ammo (too much weight.) Pistols are a decent choice though (ammo quite common, light.)

and yeah axes are usually a better bet. Good for taking down cades, good for taking out unwanted gennies and good for dispatching the living if you have nothing else.

As for good hit rates.. depends on time of day, whether or not the place is lit, your activity between alts...etc..possibly.

yeah michael was complaining how he vhad been attacking some cades with 50% chance to hit and wasted all 50 of his ap without bhitting it once



i told him "sounds like kevan hates you" just to piss him off but yeah that's not good

The other advise I got from someone who has been playing for years (my son) was to not button mash, but wait a couple of seconds between hits. He seems to have been RNG with that.

I'll be trying that on my fak searching today since yesterday between two characters I only picked up seven faks for 100 AP. javascript:emoticonp('')
