I finally made it back to St. G's this morning and found 15 zombies. I haven't found a cell phone yet, but is there a strategy for re-grouping? (This may not be a topic that should be discussed on the forum, but I thought I try.)

not sure what concerns me more the invading horde or the lack of any talk on your forum about it. Why aren't you guys strategizing? You have allies and seems a lot of people why not use them.

Any MCM people out there?

We do have plans for a fall back, and a place to fall back to. Violet and some others are discussing it right now. The group of zeds that are currently in front of MCM (Undeadites), are mostly griefers. They are somewhat organized, but they aren't the RRF or MOB, by any stretch of the imagination.

Until advised differently. I suggest stocking up on syringes and checking our RP on a regular basis. Keep MCM cadeed to emergency levels (EHB) and keep an eye out these guys ...

If they are in a zed state... kill em or CR(at your own risk, because some of them revenge PK for CR). If they are alive... use your own judgement. But... unless you are in immenent danger from one of them, please do not kill them in MCM... It is a neutral zone. Alert security in game or here. If one of em PK's you get a screen-shot or an IW and we'll report them to the RG. Outside of MCM? Do as you like with regards to exterminating them with extreme prejudice (as long as you are not a student). Twisted Evil

Final word on the matter rest with Violet and her staff... I'm just a bear. What do I know? Laughing

PostSubject: Re: St. G's siege   St. G's siege EmptyWed Nov 12, 2008 4:06 pm

treebob, we've done a ton of organizing and strategizing on IRC. I recruited allies from all over via #beerhah and multiple other channels to come help. I'm trying to remember to post some here, but I've been communicating with allies all over via both IRC and multiple forums, and it's rather time consuming. I've been managing the incursions live via IRC, and our allies and personnel are reporting live to me and discussing options together when I'm not available. (I do have a life.)

We use server: irc.nexuswar.net and are still channel #10mfh, as are all the other 10 minutes from hell daughter groups. It's an open, public channel. Introduce yourself, and you're welcome there, although undeadites and Jeffrey Dahmer's Zombie Squad will be kick/banned for the time we are besieged, as will people who fail to introduce themselves, on the assumption they are one of the two above.

Again, you are welcome to join us if you'd like.

I'd also like to remind people that while the Undeadites are a threat to our particular building, they are not a huge horde like the MOB or RRF, and they cannot steamroll an entire suburb in a day or two. If we lose St. G's we'll be back inside lecturing in a day or two.

Have I now? I love it when I make the big time DNR/KOS/Expelled list....How did I get expelled anyway I never enrolled. Or should I enroll so you can expel me? Is this something like You cant fire me because I quit but only you cant hire me because you expel me? Wow that just really didn't roll off the tongue.

Well mates. Cheers and good luck with your little siege.

Your friend in the end

PostSubject: Re: St. G's siege   St. G's siege EmptyThu Nov 13, 2008 6:28 pm

Hello, Joe! Welcome to the forum! Feel free to post in any of the public areas just like anyone else. Adversaries are welcome here, (it is a PvP game, after all,) as long as they obey the same code of civil behavior that we expect of anyone else.

If you want to communicate here, that's just fine, or we can do this in-game once the siege is over. I was planning on stepping over to Club Harnap and having a chat with you folks, but there's this zombie inconvenience in town right now, and I can't quite spare the time.

The reason why it's called the DNR/Expelled list is because one list covers both situations - people we had to boot out and people we can't afford to heal, revive, or shelter. You would fit into the latter category, the DNR. Note that the DNR/expelled list is not a KOS list. The only people who are truly KOS to MCM are people on the Ignore List. I prefer to keep the DNR/expelled list as short as possible, and would be happy to talk to you about getting your name off the list. I can take you off again as soon as the siege is over.

I was just wondering why you chose us to harass? I've heard rumors about combat reviving being a reason, but I don't know if that's something someone legitimately heard, or if it's just speculation. If someone affiliated with MCM is CRing zeds in the street or seeking your group out to CR I'd like to know, because that's griefing, and we don't allow it.

The occasional zombie incursion is good practice for the students, and we were having a terrible time keeping Club Harnap enterable before your friends ruined it, so I don't have a real problem with your tiny group hanging out there. Please let me know if anyone affiliated with MCM is ever abusive to you or your friends. I won't tolerate that, no matter who the victim is.

Strangely warm welcome. I think I will have to work harder at what I do. I will act civil but I may not be friendly. Smile

I am sorry to hear of your current inconvenience. If there is anything I could do to help I would do so but alas all I can offer at this moment in time is to beat on your cades and block repair operations. I am sure that soon enough I will be back in shape to protect you from the evils that are caused by inhaling toxic fumes from generators. It is such a thankless job but we wouldn't want any of the precious doctors or patients dieing from inhaling toxic fumes, especially when there is a number of zombies out side that would be more than happy to kill you for you with out all of the nasty side effects of prolonged inhalation of toxic fumes.

To many damn lists. I see you are quite the divider, not a lumper.

I feel unqualified to answer that question. I must differ you to my attorney but unfortunately he appears to have this death thing going on and would be more apt to chew on your noggin than answer you in any kind of coherent manner.

Greetings MCM folk.

I just thought I'd swing by here and make a nuisance of myself whilst the siege rolls on. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance (aside from maintaining the barricades and my incessant in-game chatter). My chickens should be entering the hospital shortly, as I've missed them terribly since re-entering Malton from a long hiatus. I hope no one has a problem with live poultry.

We have no trouble whatsoever with live poultry or with live dinosaurs! We love incessant in-game chatter, and the thing I dislike most about sieges is all that AP wasted on cading and shooting zombies when you could be talking instead!

May I suggest that your chicken become acquainted with our shotgun-loving tree, mighty oak? His branches are quite nice this time of year, full of colors and providing a lovely vantage point for cade-watching.

I must admit, I've always been rather fond of the chatter as well, and when in-game AP taps out... that's what forums are for. But to play devil's advocate, I also find the waves of dead ouside give us purpose and bring survivors closer togetther as the constant chess match of staying alive continues. Then again, I've seen the tensions of a siege wear down the buildings inhabitants to the point where they start killing each other, so perhaps I don't know what I'm talking about.

Quote :

Eat or chop up as many of my chickens as you'd like M.O., the beauty of them is: they're self-replenishing (though they do have the annoying habit of rambling long Shakespeare sonnets and trying to hypnotize people. Weird birds, those chickens). In fact, I think the chicken Crayon had may have been from that odd flock.

Mmmmm... deep fried food, soup with dumplings, and winter cabbage.

*"Omnivorous" doesn't even begin to describe the little dinosaur. Any mention of food, and he'll come running.*

(I'm actually starting to enjoy the taste of flies too.)

I think the trick to survivor unity instead of squabbling is keeping it fun. Which you excel at, you lovely little dinosaur. Smile I hope you hang around with us for a while. I do have to apologize for all the silly cading I have to do right now. Normally I'm more chatty.

And Don Tickles is here! Woot! Or, he was here... probably just as well he was escorted out.

Mmmm. I love chicken. It's so healthy and tasty!

I have a penchant for not really taking anything very seriously (except for drawing and cooking), so I'll do my best to add a dose of dino-goofing to the siege party. As far as hanging around for a while, I'll have to check my schedule: I have an appointment for measles, mumps, rubella and parvo vaccines in Ruddlebank, a Lacrosse lesson in Old Arkham, and there's that herd of Llamas and yaks in Dulston that need constant tending lest they spit on other survivors. Oh yeah, and I've been putting off my sock drawer organization.

Seriously, I have no where I need to be until the 2009 Halloween party at the zoo. That should leave a little free time.

On a bit of another note, North Blythville hospitals St Joesph's and St. Bruno's seem to be suffering the same raid as St. G's.

No, I'm still at a low enough level that I didn't want to risk getting in the fray. However, it seemed like a simular tactic. I am on the look out for the names that MO posted.

I also cruised by St. G's today and there were 48 zombies inside.

There was a similar siege happening at Tikhon hospital down in Ruddlebank when I was there, though not in the same numbers as up here and the Tikhons seems to be keeping them at bay. I wonder if this is indicative of of the hordes from the North and East moving in on the green areas of the map. I'm not certain of the group names, but the one to the South is the Plague.
