I'm stil lugging two or three pumpkins around, but I can't find a knife. The wiki is largely useless in helping me, so I wanted to ask MCM.

Where can I easily find a knife? I've been searching the hospital for a week now and not one scapel was found.

Well you'll never find it at the hospital Best bet would be the mall otherwise a junkyard. But really just the mall.

As an experienced death-cultist:
1.) Fort infirmaries. I always got more knives from them than FAKs (which is just another reason why forts suck for everyone but death-cultists). Sadly(?) all forts are ruined right now, and neither is close to Eastonwood anyway.
2.) Mall sports stores. Have also decent search rates for knives, especially with bargain hunting. Just remember to turn off searching for sports items in advance if you don't want to drop a lot of ski poles and boinoculars. Calvert Mall is not only nearby, but also alive and kicking.
3.) Schools, pubs, motels, junkyards. Well, as a general thing they all suck pretty much as far as search rates go (except for alcohol in the case of pubs and motels). Only look for a knife there if you are really desperate.

Check the mall hardware stores. Higher odds than in the sports store.
