Friends and Allies

As Alvy has mentioned, Nellie and Saralan have both retired and I am now Alvy's illustrious right hand man ie the Head Nurse (absolutely no tolerance for Head or Nurse Jokes btw) at MMS.

I thought I should say hello as I'm sure MMS and MCM will continue to be close friends and allies

For anyone who doesn't have a radio set to SoC frequency, here's a funny iWit from this morning. It's the comeback for what was said yesterday, when someone (I think he claimed to be "Death Walker"?) pirated their channel and gloated about ruining Darvall Heights and killing Cortona. The taunts were childish and badly written, so they pretty much set themselves up for a response like this.

Just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself here. I play 5 alts across Malton, some of which have been made to feel most welcome within the campus. I am going to try and get an alt to join but am undecided which one. I am going to be back on active duty with 404: Barhah not found again soon so my survivor alt will be leaving. I will replace him with one of my other alts... now for which one... well that would be telling

It is with great relief that I can inform you all that cadwah1 finally has beaten the Trenchcoating addiction, he is a reformed character and wishes not only to thank the MCM for their support, but to join and assist in any way he can to continue this fine work. I hope to be able to put forward a lecture on what I have learnt during the 12 step plan and also I can offer 1st hand advice to any passing Trenchies. As always high jinx and ridiculous comedy will ensue, you see, although the Trenchcoat has dissappeared, nothing can be done about the complete lack of grey matter.

When I contacted MCM the first time out-of-game during the Dead Walker zerger attack, I've never been wanting any special access. I went even that far and rejected it when Vi offered it to me back in the day.
That has been partially because I'm usually out there to be the opposition of MCM. (Not "opposition" as in "MCM is the counter-example of everything I stand for and has to purged", far from it - rather as in "does what the black player has to do with the white player in chess".)
The largest part has however been that people hardly knew me, and that I didn't want to leave the impression to be a forum zba!, a cheater, a sock-puppet or some similar sekrit-mongering schmuck.

But that has been more than a quarter year ago.
I think people had now a chance to learn to know me in the game and on IRC, and also to see my ethics towards the game in action - such as my paid-off gambling debts, my refusal to abuse information accidentally spilled on IRC, or my aid with the first SC attack.
At the same time, I've been helping out a lot recently, such as by performing guest lectures and helping out with the current SC incident.

Therefore, I'm going to ask to be recognized as a friend of MCM, and if alone to be able to help out more effectively currently.
(And of course, I'm going to request to cancel the access as soon as I return to my... uh... more usual ways. D'you know, such ways as crashing Spetsnaz-style into the campus and clawing at everything that moves.)

They are, nowhere near as many people as they used to have (about 5 of us atm). I know a few people who used to have alts there which are idled, I am going for it and if it works and we start doing some good and having fun, hopefully some more people will join in. /recruitment

Yeah, the RRF kindly offered to spread our invitation to a few of their zambah brazzahz.

We'd be glad to have some coverage of the bash, not in the least because there's quite the possibility that we won't remember a thing of it the next morning. Will any of your press members be planning to capture a complete recording of the event? We've been talking amongst ourselves about the benefits of having one of those, but we'd never ask someone to miss the party (by not taking any actions so they can get a full log) just to document it.

I would be more than willing to capture a recording for you guys. That's my birthday, so its unlikely I will be at home participating.
